Overlapping Golf Grip
The Overlapping Golf Grip is probably the second most common grip type. To use this golf grip follow the pictures and instructions below.
To make the overlapping golf grip start out with your basic golf club grip (if you’re not sure you know what this is click here).
Once you have your hands in the basic golf grip you are going to:
- Lift the pinky finger on your bottom hand (in this image the bottom hand is on top) and slide your bottom hand toward your top hand until your ring finger is up against your top hand’s index finger.
- Next lay your bottom hand pinky finger in between the knuckles of your top hand index and middle finger (it should rest comfortably in the groove between these fingers).
The top of your hands will look like this when using the overlapping grip (note: this is the same for the interlocking golf grip):
You should not be able to see the bottom hand pinky finger from the top.
